With 30 years of experience, Richard Walsh is one of Oregon's leading auto accident trial lawyers. Rich received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the University of Oregon Law School in 1986, where he served as Chief Justice on the University Court and graduated with a high class ranking. After graduation, Richard began his legal career by working for insurance companies, where he served as an insurance defense attorney. After two years in the field, it became apparent to Rich that people needed an honest and dedicated attorney to represent them in cases against big insurance firms. Because of his previous experience with insurance law, Richard has had an extremely successful career helping his clients get the compensation they deserve.
In 1992, Richard took his first case against an insurance company to trial and was able to help his client, who was suffering soft tissue injuries from a low impact collision, receive a record breaking payment of $500,745.09. Since then, Richard has helped thousands of clients receive fair compensation for their injuries, both large and small. He understands that even soft tissue injuries from lower impact collisions can still result in lifetime pain and has helped many clients with these types of injuries receive their substantial six figure verdicts that they deserved. Richard's successes have earned him significant respect in the legal community. As a result of his success he has been asked to teach numerous Continuing Legal Education (CLE) classes for many legal education organizations including the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. In these classes Richard has helped teach other Oregon lawyers how to improve their negotiation and trial skills. He has also spoken at Willamette University Law School and at the Oregon Doctors of Chiropractic (ODOC) convention. His article on combating the insurance medical examiners was published in TRIAL Magazine.
Rich's successes are a reflection of his passion for helping victims of accidents receive fair compensation for their injuries, no matter how big or small.

January of 2006, Eric brought his expertise to Walsh & Associates, where he currently fights for victims of auto accidents in cases against large insurance companies. He finds the work of helping the little guy particularly rewarding, drawing analogies to the "David vs. Goliath" scenario. He has an enduring determination to ensure that all his clients are treated fairly in the eyes of the law.
Eric Wilborn has a long history of representing individuals to protect their rights and ensure their fair treatment. While in law school, Eric clerked for Dolan Griggs LLP, an employment and civil rights law firm in Portland. After his graduation in 2003, he was promoted to associate at Dolan Griggs, where he continued fighting on behalf of his clients against race discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace. Through his 3 years at Dolan Griggs, Eric gained invaluable experience in litigation at both the federal and state level.
At Walsh & Associates, Eric promises to provide his clients with attentive and personal representation. Since no two clients are alike, no two cases should be treated exactly the same. If you have been injured in a collision due to someone else's negligence, you might have questions about the process of seeking fair compensation. Eric will be happy to answer any questions and if you seek out his representation at Walsh & Associates, he will work tirelessly on your behalf.

In May of 2016, David’s life changed forever when he was called for jury service in Los Angeles County where he served as jury foreperson in a criminal trial that ultimately saw the defendant acquitted of all charges. This experience as an active participant in the legal process spurred a desire in him to fight for those who would otherwise be sidelined by the legal process and overwhelmed by more powerful legal opponents. After more than a decade out of school, David enrolled at Willamette University College of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2021.
Prior to his foray into the legal profession, David worked in the hospitality industry and spent time as a stage actor, producer, and director. Some of his favorite onstage roles included productions of Execution of Justice by Emily Mann, Scapin by Bill Irwin and Mark O’Donnell, Foolin’ Around with Infinity by Steven Dietz, and Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, The Tempest, and Twelfth Night.
After law school, David spent a year working in estate planning where he helped his clients plan for the future in order to ease the burden on their families. He has continued with that same personal touch and desire to help others in his work at Walsh & Associates, where he strives to give his clients the requisite time and attention they deserve to ensure that their stories are told and their needs are addressed. He currently lives in Salem with his wife and daughter.
If you are in need of strong and effective representation, look to Walsh & Associates.
